Visiting sites and dining out in Amsterdam

The last day in Amsterdam began nicely, since we woke up earlier and headed for a breakfast and chocolate in the local cafe that was a second away from our Amsterdam flat. Then Michelle suggested we ought to visit on a specific tour, known here as Walking Over Water Tour, that took more than 3 hours. That trip was worth it, as we discovered the old center of Amsterdam with the leaning residences and the sea dikes, and after that we went to hidden monasteries and the lost city walls. I was excited by the execution sites that were once used, while Michelle was impressed by the Red Light District in which we saw a few ladies positioned on display in store glass windows. At midday we had a light lunch at one of the many little eateries along one of the lovely canals and we tested out a new local kind of draught beer that was very good but I do not remember its name.

In the afternoon we went back to our Amsterdam vacation dwelling, since it was very hot to keep outside. Following that we traveled to visit the Maritime Museum and the most ancient church in the town – Oude Kerk, however we left the windmills De Otter and De Gooyer for the next day, prior to our trip.

Later on on our last evening in the capital of the Netherlands, we visited a stylish restaurant that drawn us with its fluorescents lights and exciting signs. The food was great and so was the wine, that set us into the mood of visiting a bar. Michelle loved the cosmopolitan atmosphere of that spot and I was astonished by the good attitude of all these people. We had several ales and drinks and enjoyed the music. Late at night we went back to our holiday flat in Amsterdam and went to sleep right away.
